1. saying uniqueness overwhelms the link concedes that we control uniqueness - which means there is only a risk of offense for the negative.

2. Their 80 votes evidence assumes the status quo - the plan changes that world substantially - thats our link arguments elsewhere. In a world where Obama looks like a fool for pushing through more social services he loses substantial support.

3. [Read piece of evidence that says Obama's PC is critical to passage] which suggests both that the outcome can change and that the link is sufficient enough to change that outcome.

4. read a piece of evidence that the outcome will "be a fight" or "be contentious" to prove the risk exists within the literature.

How would you answer "uniqueness overwhelms the link"? Like if my U evidence said X will pass with 80 votes and the aff makes the argument, as the neg, how would you phrase your response if your giving the 2nr in round?

Because it doesn't need to be fast. This obsession with speed undermines the quality of argument. I think flowing the debate and figuring out what makes it a good debate is better than a speed reading contest.

With that being said, all 4 of these debaters could go blazingly fast if necessary - it just wouldn't be as useful a tool.
